Abstract:  The following is one persons belief on a sensitive subject that many people shy away from or quickly pass judgement on.  I am who I am and I believe in what I believe.  I hope this reaches some of you to look internally and reevaluate your thinking and logic on this subject.  Regardless, move forward as a contributor to society instead of a hindrance.  Move forward in the progression of society for the sake of future generations instead of falling victim to stereotyping and ill logic.  By the way, these are some of the topics I will be discussing in my publication soon to be released called “The Tome of Profitz” – A motivational and inspirational collection of thoughts and ideas for forward progression.

Even in the times we live in today, 2014, I am always surprised by the way people simply treat each other and continually strive to deprive one person’s right to choose and live.  Almost as hypocritical barbarians, society today, or lack of, are clouded in a mist of prejudice and hate across many verticals.  The question that arises to many, is why?

To me, in my opinion (see my disclaimer there?), I believe it comes down to being jealous of others and being drawn into a pool of socialized stereotyping.  If one person is happy, then why attempt to drown their happiness with ill thoughts or misconceptions based upon passed down beliefs or inherited hate?  Why not try asking them how they are doing or giving them a compliment on being strong enough to be themselves?  I bet you will gain a friend.

When I am asked, “Do you support gay marriage” my answer is simple:  Do they love one another?  I believe in not passing judgment and if someone can hold another person’s hand and vow their loyalty and love, then there is really no question here.   I know many people, since I am a spiritual person as well (hybrid in theologies if you will but ultimately believe in a higher power), who are stout bible followers and will bark at the very attempt of such a union quickly passing judgment.  Ironically, is it not the complete opposite of what the scriptures teach?  There are scriptures which support a lot of ways in life, but look at them all holistically not subjectively.  Not to turn this into a religious for sexual preference discussion but is it not true many beliefs today are passed through power of such a mechanism?

Ok, so you press the scriptural issue, does it not say in Matthew 7:3 And why seest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye; and seest not the beam that is in thy own eye?”  One should never pass judgment on another, because we simply do not have the right to do so and we are imperfect to the fullest extent.  Not a bible reader?  No problem, what about these fine quotes?

When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.” ~Wayne Dyer

“I don’t believe in guilt, I believe in living on impulse as long as you never intentionally hurt another person, and don’t judge people in your life. I think you should live completely free.” ~Angelina Jolie

“Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge of Truth and Knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods.” ~Albert Einstein

“Judge a man by his questions rather than his answers.” ~Voltaire

“I’m not the judge.  You know, God didn’t tell me to go around judging everybody.” ~Joel Osteen

“No accurate thinker will judge another person by that which the other person’s enemies say about him.” ~Napoleon Hill

Comically, we cannot even solve the basics of a fundamental society like hunger and peace, yet people strive to tackle issues that are irrelevant to loving one another, caring, and supporting one person’s stance that makes them happy.  Keyword makes them happy.  We have put people on the Moon and yet, we do not teach the basics of caring and being there for family and friends to wipe the tears during tough times and to praise them in the moments of success.  Think about that for a minute.  A word spoken at the right time is gold.

I have many friends who have chosen a path that makes them happy, just as I have.  I love my wife.  I love my family and I love my friends unbiasedly.  Focus on making your path happy and become the best you possible.  Forget about the rest.

May each of you walk in peace and may the deities, however many there are, bless your very steps and guide you to your own eternal happiness.

All my best brothers and sisters.
